Coding in BatMUD

I've hung out in BatMUD, a large (the largest?) LP-mud (MultiUser Dungeon/Dimension), from 1996 and it has stayed as the only mud that I have continuously actively played until I wizzed in January 26th 1999. I used to spend a large part of my life coding and creating stuff in there. Now I'm just mainly busy with work.

I still do hang around so you might find me at the happy hour of the Rusty Shield Bar (someone draw me a picture of the place, I'll give you a TP (or even several!)), located in Arelium. If not, you can always drop me a mail.

Current happenings:

• (18.2.2008) Status report! Nobody's drawn me a picture of Rusty Shield :(. Disappointing. Mainly playing Floorball with mudders these days. Gimme a tell if interested.
Bat's 15th birthday last spring.
• (1.11.2005) I just found text I wrote about Bat's 15th birthday last spring. Maybe that was mean't for the web page but never made it.
• (22.10.2005) Not much to report. Done maintenance stuff, helped out the new wiz-recruits. They're even doing progress, ain't that something! Something in the back of my brain is saying that it's time to whip up a new something into the game, though, since I no longer have good excuse not to, study (graduated at spring, wohoo!) or workwise (I'm no longer a researcher with work in my mynd 99% of time).
• (3.2.2005) The area is done. Sorry for the delay. It was about time to get it to the game, earliest datestamps in the code are from 2002. Sheesh. Anyway, it's in the game, enjoy.
• (13.1.2005) Ok, not few weeks. But it's nearly there. I only need one weekend or so to take care of it. Actually it's all up to Juggelo now, he promised to code some specials that are the only thing missing! Hah. Meanwhile, I'll finish my thesis.
• (14.11.2004) Been coding the area. Hopefully it'll be finished in few weeks. About time, I started coding it over two years ago.
• (17.9.2004) Been back to Finland for couple weeks now. Still quite busy though, as I just started writing my Master's Thesis and working in a research group for at least the next six months. Oh yeah, I'll be graduating as Bachelor next week. Hopefully M.Sc. isn't far in the future either.
• (1.5.2004) Not much to report. Been approving Dino's area complex. Goddamn, it's huge. Luckily Melemkor had done some of it already. Life is getting busy, I'm starting my thesis (finally), and going to work in Switzerland for summer so there's not much time left for Bat currently. A shame.
• (29.2.2004) Finished some stuff for Melemkor. Been coding on and off. And fixing tons of glitches and bugs in Other People's Areas. Bugtrack (bug-command for you) is your friend. Use it.
• (14.1.2004) Back from Christmas break. Didn't get anything done as I stayed away from the computer (except when using it to watch DVDs). New semester starting, and I should get started with my thesis at some point (first I need to figure out a topic for it, though). We'll see if I can get something done here.
